Blue Flowers for Christmas

Hello dear frends, Martha Lucia here with you!

Blue Flowers for Christmas and flowers for everything! I love the stamps of Kennedy Grace Creations because they have an amazing collection of flowers and they are my favorites!  Today I have a project to share with you using the Grace's Little Note stamp set. Take a look at my card:

This is not a Christmas stamp set but with a little of creativity you can make whatever you want. And this is what I made. I just decided to stamp one of the flowers included on the stamp set Grace's Little Note with Versamark Ink and Gold Embossing Powder over Basic Black Cardstock and melted the powder. I tried not to connect the flowers so since I stamped one by one it was very easy to remove the powder when I didn't want to connect the flowers.

Then using Prismacolor Premier Color Pencils I colored each flower. In this opportunity I went with the blues and greens. I used two different blues and two different greens, but depending of your colors and the color of your cardstock you can experiment other tones.

When I was satisfied with the coloring I resized the layer and pasted over a whisper white card base and die cut the word Joy using black fun foam and Gold/Gold Rinea Foiled Paper. I pasted the black fun foam behind of the paper foiled just to give more dimension to the word and then I pasted the word directly over the card.

The Gold Embossing Powder of the flowers and the Gold of the Rinea Foiled Paper of the die cut word gave to the card the perfect shine for the season and another advantage of using this technique is that you can retouch the intensity of the colors until have the tone that you want.

I hope my project inspires you to experiment new ideas with your flowers and use new or older techniques that are always fun. I wish you a very happy and blessed thanksgiving day and enjoy my flowers for Christmas!

One Layered Card - Featuring Kennedy Grace Creations: Time To Blossom

Hey folks! I'm back to share a card from the Kennedy Grace Creations New Release! The stamp set I used today is the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . I really enjoyed the simplicity of this set. You could totally heat emboss this and do some fabulous watercoloring, but Copic's seems to be the way to go for me lately so that's what I did. I started by stamping the image twice on my card panel. The only masking I did was a tiny bit on the stem. The name of the game was to keep this super simple folks. As I said, I colored the images with Copic's. Another thing I enjoy about the Time To Blossom Stamp Set is that you could choose any colors you wanted. I chose red-violets and yellow-greens, but seriously peeps, whatever floats your boat and it will looks great! To finish off my card, I used a added a couple of hand drawn lines to the background and I stamped a portion of a stamp that is also in the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . That's it! Easy peasy. T
