Birthday Roses

Hello, everyone! Rachel here today with a beautiful birthday card featuring the gorgeous Splendid Roses stamp set.

I've colored these roses in all sorts of different colors, but I just love them in classic red. I stamped my image on a piece of white cardstock and colored it in with my Copics. My reds were R89, R39, R37, and R35. I used YG95, YG97, and YG99 for my greens. When it was completely colored, I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 to cut it out because I'm too impatient for fussy cutting.

I set aside my image and prepared a card base from more white cardstock. I wanted a subtle background that would work well with my roses, so I used a layering stamp set to create a subtle marble look. I placed my roses approximately where I wanted to adhere them so I could figure out where to stamp my sentiment. I used my MISTI to stamp in Versamark ink and then heat embossed in silver embossing powder. I finished it off by adding my roses with some foam tape.

It's hard to see, but I wanted a little bit of shimmer, so I added a little to my marbling with a glitter pen. It adds some subtle shine and mimics the vein of shimmer you sometimes see in marble counters.

Thanks for joining me today!

One Layered Card - Featuring Kennedy Grace Creations: Time To Blossom

Hey folks! I'm back to share a card from the Kennedy Grace Creations New Release! The stamp set I used today is the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . I really enjoyed the simplicity of this set. You could totally heat emboss this and do some fabulous watercoloring, but Copic's seems to be the way to go for me lately so that's what I did. I started by stamping the image twice on my card panel. The only masking I did was a tiny bit on the stem. The name of the game was to keep this super simple folks. As I said, I colored the images with Copic's. Another thing I enjoy about the Time To Blossom Stamp Set is that you could choose any colors you wanted. I chose red-violets and yellow-greens, but seriously peeps, whatever floats your boat and it will looks great! To finish off my card, I used a added a couple of hand drawn lines to the background and I stamped a portion of a stamp that is also in the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . That's it! Easy peasy. T
