Grateful for you Scarecrow Thanksgiving Card

Hello friends. Meg here, with a card just in time for Thanksgiving (in the USA), in a few days. This is a sneak peek of a new scarecrow digital stamp by KGC. The sentiment stamps are from the You Inspire Me clear stamp set.

I started off my making a clean and simple background using spray inks. My personal favorite are Heidi Swapp Color Shine and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I used a variety of both to make the organic looking, blue and green background.

I then printed my digital stamps from my laser printer. I colored the scarecrow using Copic markers. To add details I used a clear Stardust Gelly Roll pen from Sakura. I then fussy cut the colored imaged and outlined the white edges using my black Tombow Dual Brush Marker.

I then heat embossed the sentiment "Grateful for you in my life" using Brass colored embossing powder from Hero Arts. Isn't this sentiment just perfect for the holidays?! I recommend you checking it out as there are multiple saying you can create from this highly versatile set!

I then adhered my scarecrow digi image using some glossy accents. I recommend a strong adhesive so none of the small parts of the image life once adhered to the card front.

I hope you like my Thanksgiving card using the fabulous new digital stamp scarecrow and the You Inspire Me clear stamp sentiment set. Thanks for visiting my blogpost!

Spreading Kindess card

Hello everyone, Erica on the blog today!

I don't know about you but I've been quite saddened to see so much hatred, friends attacking friends and general unkindness going around lately. Regardless of your political/religious/personal beliefs I think we can all do better with keeping it a bit civilised and perhaps doing less talking and more actions. With that in mind I made this card with a positive message to send out some positive karma into the world.

Using an A2 panel cut out from Ranger Ink water colour paper, I dusted it generously with my anti-static tool as I was going to heat emboss the gorgeous Just A Rose stamp set. I started by stamping it in the middle with VersaMark ink and dusting it with white embossing powder, also from Ranger Ink. Using a mask I already had, I stamped it again on both sides to create a rose bush border, before adding and setting the embossing powder with my heat tool.
