Hot Pink overload

Hi, Erica on the blog today! I know, I know, me again... I'm not stalking anyone, promise. I'll keep it short and sweet today to make up for yesterday's rather lengthy post. Alright, ok. Short... ish...

Yesterday's card was rather clean and simple, today's card is anything but. However, I did use the same stamp set, Just A Rose, and the same label sentiment 'You Are Amazing' from the set.

I started out by cutting out a pink A2 sized stitched rectangle, which will act as the base as well as a hot pink smaller stitched rectangle piece. Around the smaller piece I wrapped gold twine a bit randomly, to balance out all the pink. As much as I adore pink, there is such a thing as too much pink.
Yes, I did just say that... Shocking, I know.

I stamped up two of the flowers on pink flowery patterned paper and fussy cut them out. The sentiment got stamped up with black ink and cut out as well. To put the card together I got my trusted foam tape out and added lots of it on the back of the hot pink smaller rectangle. I attached it to the A2 piece on an angle and then added the flowers and the sentiment. At this point, I decided to use my latest obsession: Enamel accents! And boy, did I use it... *slightly crazed looked emoji here, lol*

This is a surprisingly quick card, well the making is but the drying takes some time admittedly. However, it looks rather complicated and unusual, doesn't it? You can make it less pink by paper piecing green patterned paper over the leaves and even another colour over the stamens.

Well, this is my last post for October but I'll be back before you know it!

Happy crafting,

Hugs from Erica

Spreading Kindess card

Hello everyone, Erica on the blog today!

I don't know about you but I've been quite saddened to see so much hatred, friends attacking friends and general unkindness going around lately. Regardless of your political/religious/personal beliefs I think we can all do better with keeping it a bit civilised and perhaps doing less talking and more actions. With that in mind I made this card with a positive message to send out some positive karma into the world.

Using an A2 panel cut out from Ranger Ink water colour paper, I dusted it generously with my anti-static tool as I was going to heat emboss the gorgeous Just A Rose stamp set. I started by stamping it in the middle with VersaMark ink and dusting it with white embossing powder, also from Ranger Ink. Using a mask I already had, I stamped it again on both sides to create a rose bush border, before adding and setting the embossing powder with my heat tool.

Using a sentiment from Mama Elephant's 'Butterfly Kisses' I st…
